Old Fletton Primary School

Old Fletton Primary School is located approximately one mile south of the city centre. There are good transport links across the city and the school is conveniently located for easy access from the A1. There is a shared vision for the school based on ‘CARE’ values that emphasise ‘Celebrating success, Aiming high, Respecting others and Embracing challenge’.
We are recognised by Ofsted as a good school with outstanding features. We are extremely proud of this and are continuously striving for excellence in all we do. We are a larger than average primary school. The majority of pupils are White British. A small but diverse minority speak English as an additional language, with over 20 different first languages spoken.
The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for free meals is above average. The proportion of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities, including those with an Education, Health and Care Plan, is high. The school has a Local Authority maintained Nursery class and also runs a breakfast club and an after school club. In 2013 we were awarded with the Equalities Award and achieved a Green Flag Award from Eco-Schools. In 2017 we were re-assessed and again achieved the Equalities Award and in 2018 we attained the REQM RE award.
The school also has Healthy Schools status. We welcome visits to our school so that our ethos and values and the positive, friendly atmosphere can be witnessed first-hand.
