Hampton Hargate Primary School

Hampton Hargate Primary School is a large, bright and modern school for children aged 4 to 11 years. Ofsted judged the school to be Outstanding (May 2015). Situated on the edge of Peterborough, the school is easily accessible and provides a fantastic range of facilities for all of our pupils. Our large outdoor area comprises of a trim trail, ball zone and sports field, as well as a separate area for our reception children. The excellent facilities continue indoors with 2 halls, the larger kitted out with a full sound and lighting system for performances and discos. We have a woodland themed library as well as a music room, forest school, outdoor classroom, sensory room and a dedicated reception area. The school is proud to offer the latest technology and our pupils use a range of software to carry out learning in a safe online environment. All of our KS2 pupils have their own Chrome Book and we have Ipads and PCs throughout all year groups.
In addition to a broad and balanced curriculum, we run a wide range of activities both inside and outside of school to enhance the learning experience for the children. We offer a range of musical instrument lessons, currently including violin, piano, percussion, flute, recorder, singing and guitar.  Our sports week, languages week and residential trips provide a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and we also offer sports clubs and a range of other after school clubs for the children to take part in.
We gained Teaching School status in 2016 and currently eight members of teaching staff hold SLE (Specialist Leader of Education) status.
We are passionate about outdoor learning and have recently become a Forest School, giving our pupils the unique experience of learning outside through nature.
The Governing Body and Friends Association actively support the school and our dedicated, hardworking staff are friendly, welcoming and supportive and are committed to the welfare and educational needs of all.
The school has received many awards and currently holds the Inclusion Charter Mark, EAL Mark Gold, Artsmark Gold, Governor Mark, Healthy Schools Award, Eco Schools, ICT Mark Accreditation, Advanced SENCo Award, Primary Science Quality Mark, Arts Award and the Stephen Lawrence Award
