St Botolph's C of E Primary School

St Botolph’s Church of England Primary School is part of DEMAT, the Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust. As a Church School we work closely with the Diocese of Ely and Peterborough Education Authority. We uphold Christian beliefs. These can be seen in our policies but also in our school life and our daily acts of collective worship.
The school offers a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment. We aim for children to achieve in all aspects of school life. To achieve this, we encourage high academic standards which are supported by a rich and varied curriculum. Children are given a wide range of responsibilities so that they learn to become active and engaged citizens of the future. Naturally, we have close links with our local churches. We have developed strong relationships with the villages of Orton Longueville and Orton Waterville and the wider communities within Peterborough and UK.
Music is an important part of our school and we are proud of the school choir. Sustainability is also important to us. Despite many of our pupils living in different parts of Peterborough, children work hard to ensure that we come to school as often as possible on bicycles, scooters or by foot. There is an excellent before and after school club called Kidz Biz which provides wrap around care to pupils who attend.
St Botolph’s is a school where children thrive because they feel safe in the environment and also each individual knows that their contribution is sought and valued. Every child matters.
