The Role

Thomas Deacon Academy are seeking to appoint a House Administrator to join our Pastoral/Wellbeing team.

As a House Administrator, you will work closely with the Pastoral Head in ensuring that all students receive high levels of support throughout the whole academic day. You will be required to organise and coordinate staff/student meetings as well as arranging parental appointments on an ad-hoc basis ensuring that good relations are maintained at all times.

You will also be a key driver for collating the attendance data for your house, producing reports and liaising with all relevant parties.

The ideal candidate will need excellent communications skills dealing actively with telephone calls, written correspondence and face to face conversations with students, staff, parents and visitors.

The ability to be flexible and work as part of a growing team is essential.

 

The Person

You will:

  • Have excellent communication skills including written, face to face and on the telephone.
  • Be able to establish good working relationships with students, parents/carers and other members of staff.
  • Be able to work both as part of a team and to your own initiative.
  • Have some experience of working with young people.
